How to list an act in the GigTools directory

Let event planners find your act by type, place, budget and date, and send booking requests straight to your Inquiries, with no commission.

Up to date as of GigTools version 2.1.289

The GigTools directory at app.gigtools.net/directory is where event planners look for acts. They search by type of act, state, city, budget and Clean acts only, and when they pick the date of their event, only acts who are free that day show up. Listing an act is part of the Member, Pro, Agency and Venue plans.

1. List an act

  1. Open the act in Contacts & acts and click the Public & website tab.
  2. In the GigTools directory card, click List in the directory. If the act's public page was off, this turns it on.

The card then shows Listed in the GigTools directory. To come off it, click Take it off the directory. Turning the public page off takes the act off the directory too.

2. Help planners find you

Planners see the act's name, headshot, act types, city and state, tagline, a Clean badge, the star rating from your published reviews and, if you show prices, the price. So on the act's Profile tab:

  • Pick the act types (Comedian, Public speaker, Magician…). Planners filter by them.
  • Fill in the city and state. Planners filter by them too.
  • Tick clean if the act works clean.
  • Add a minimum price. Planners who pick a budget only see acts whose minimum fits it. The price itself shows only if the act's prices are public.

Contact details are never shown.

3. Which dates count as free

When a planner picks a date, the act is left out if it has a booked gig that day (including gigs an agency booked through act sharing) or a day off for that act. In an agency, an organization-wide day off only counts for your organization's own default act, so your roster still shows. Holds don't hide the act.

4. Booking requests

A planner clicks Request a booking (or Ask about their date) and fills in the act's booking form. It lands in your Inquiries like any other request, marked GigTools directory, with the date and place they searched filled in. Reply and book it as usual. GigTools adds no booking fee and takes no commission.

Your public page, reviews and widgets work the same whether or not the act is listed. See How to share your public act page.
