How to review a campaign and see results

Look over each send before it goes, approve it, and see opens, replies and bookings.

Up to date as of GigTools version 2.1.03

When Let me review each send before it goes out is on, every send of a campaign is written out first and waits for you. Nothing goes until you approve it.

1. Find sends waiting for you

  • GigTools emails the campaign's sender: "…emails are ready to review", with a link.
  • On Business › Campaigns, a banner says how many emails are ready. Click Review →.
  • On the campaign page, under Results, the send shows Waiting for your review.

You can also add a Campaign sends to review tile to your dashboard.

2. Review and approve

  1. Read down the list. Click an email's subject to see exactly what that person gets.
  2. Click Take off next to anyone who shouldn't get it. Put back undoes it.
  3. Click Approve and send. Emails go a batch every 15 minutes (on weekdays, 8am to 6pm, if the campaign says so).

Click Don't send to cancel the whole send. Approving a send on a paused campaign turns the campaign back on.

3. While it's sending

The page shows how many are sent and waiting. Click Stop sending to cancel the rest. Follow-ups go out on their own later, without another review.

4. Check each email

After approving, filter the list with All, Sent, Opened, Replied, Waiting, Bounced or failed and Taken off. Each person shows badges like Sent, Opened, Replied, Unsubscribed or Follow-up 1. Click a name to open their Communications log.

If someone answered by phone or from another inbox, click Mark replied on their email. Their follow-ups stop. Not replied undoes it.

5. Results

The campaign page's Results card shows:

  • Sent, Opened (as a percent), Replied, Bounced and Unsubscribed.
  • Booked: gigs booked for those people or their companies within 60 days after an email, with the total fee.
  • Every send, with its status.

Opens and bounces are reported for emails sent from GigTools. Gmail doesn't report them.
