How to use your Inbox

One list of everything waiting on you, with the next step for each. Tick tasks off or snooze them right there.

Up to date as of GigTools version 2.1.111

Inbox (near the top of the menu, and in the bar at the bottom on a phone) lists everything waiting on you in one place, so you don't have to check the dashboard, Tasks, Inquiries and Campaigns separately. Its number in the menu counts overdue tasks and new inquiries.

1. What's in it

  • Tasks that are overdue, and tasks due today.
  • New inquiries to answer.
  • Gigs to wrap up after the show, and payments that are late or due this week.
  • Leads with a date in the next two weeks, and acts who haven't confirmed.
  • Campaign emails waiting for your OK, agreements sent but not signed, and reviews and act updates to approve.
  • Acts booked twice on the same day.

2. Do the next step

Each row has a button for what to do next: Reply, Wrap up, Record it, Review, Resend confirmation (sends right away)…

  • Tick the box at the start of a task's row to mark it done.
  • Click the clock at the end of a task's row to snooze it (1 day, 3 days, 1 week) or pick a new due date.

3. Sort it your way

  • Most urgent first: one list, the most pressing at the top.
  • By gig: everything about each gig together, under the gig's name (click it to open the gig). Things that aren't about one gig come last.

When nothing is waiting, it says You're all caught up. The dashboard's Needs attention shows the top five.
