How links from another organization work
What happens when you open a link to a gig, contact or campaign that belongs to another of your organizations.
Up to date as of GigTools version 2.1.03
If you belong to more than one organization, a link (often from an email or a notification) can point to something in an organization you're not working in right now. GigTools doesn't switch for you without asking.
What you'll see
Instead of "not found", you get a page that says, for example, This gig is in Acme Comedy, and that you're working in your other organization right now. It works for gigs (and their Show day page), contacts, clients and venues, agreements, inquiries, campaigns and show series.
You have two choices:
After you switch
The page you opened shows a banner, Switched to … to open this link, with a Switch back to … button. Click it to return to the organization you were in. Click ✕ to hide the banner.
You can also switch any time from the organization name at the top of the menu. See How to switch between organizations.
"Couldn't open that"
If you see Couldn't open that, the link belongs to an organization you're not a member of, or it no longer exists. If someone sent you the link, ask them to invite you to their organization.
