How to send a client your bio and headshot (promo kit)

Send a client or venue the act's headshot, short and long bio, and links for their posters, programs and posts.

Up to date as of GigTools version 2.1.119

Clients and venues often need the act's bio and headshot for posters, programs, social posts or the host's introduction. Each act has a promo kit: a private page with the full-size headshot to download, a short and a long bio to copy, and the act's website and social links. It isn't listed anywhere or found by search engines; only people with the link can see it.

The promo kit uses what's on the act's profile: the headshot, one-liner, short description and bio, and links. Keep those up to date in My act › Act profile.

1. Send it to a client

  1. Open the client or venue contact.
  2. Click Send promo kit.
  3. Pick the acts to include. The email has each act's name, one-liner and short bio, and a link to its promo kit.
  4. Change the wording if you like, then click Send from Gmail (with Gmail connected). Or use Copy message to send it from your own email, then click Log as sent.

2. From a booked gig

A booked gig's Next steps include Send the client the promo kit when the gig has a client contact with an email. Click Send promo kit: the client's page opens with the email ready and the gig's acts picked. Sending or logging it checks the step off.

3. Copy the link

Open the act and click the Public & website tab. Under Promo kit, click Copy promo link or Open promo page.

You can also put {promo_link} in an email template. From a gig it links the gig's first act; otherwise your default act.
