How to bring in contacts from a spreadsheet

Moving from a spreadsheet or another system? Here are your options.

A few people at a time

• Copy a row (name, title, company, email, phone) and use Paste text in Smart add. GigTools fills in the person and the company for you to check. See How to add people from a business card, text or web page.
• Or add them by hand: see How to add contacts and How to add clients and venues.

A whole list

There's no "upload a spreadsheet" button in GigTools yet. For a big list of contacts, clients, venues or past gigs, ask us through Contact support and we'll help you bring it in.

When an import is set up for your account, the owner opens the Import page, checks how many of each kind of record will come in, and clicks Run import. Anything already in your account is matched and kept, not duplicated, so it's safe to run again.

After you bring things in

• Give your clients and venues business types so you can filter and target campaigns. See How to sort clients and venues by business type.

Import is on every plan except Lite.
