How to block dates when you're busy on your calendar
Days you're busy on your own Google or Outlook calendar become blocked dates in GigTools, so nobody books you over them.
Up to date as of GigTools version 2.1.340
Keep your life on your own calendar? GigTools can read when you're busy there and block those days, so Am I free?, your open dates, the Roster, the directory's date search and your agencies all see them.
GigTools only reads busy or free. It never keeps an event's name, place or details: the day just shows Busy (calendar).
1. Turn it on
- Connect Google or Outlook first. See How to connect Gmail and Google Calendar or How to put your gigs on your Outlook calendar.
- Open Settings › Connections & automations in the menu.
- In the Google or Microsoft card, find Block dates when I'm busy on my calendar and tick Turn on busy times.
2. Choose what counts
- Under Calendars that count, tick the calendars you want. Your main calendar is ticked to start. The GigTools calendar isn't listed, so your gigs don't come back as busy days.
- Under Which events:
- With more than one act, pick who it Blocks dates for. Owners and admins can also pick Everyone.
- Click Save and check now. You'll see how many busy days it found in the next year.
3. Keeping it up to date
Turn it off
Untick Turn on busy times. The busy days are removed right away. Disconnecting Google or Outlook removes them too.
