Let acts update their own info

Send an act a private link to update their bio, headshot, contact info, payment handles and W-9. You approve every change.

Acts don't need a GigTools account to keep their details current. You send them a private link; they fill in a form; you approve what they changed.

Send the link

  1. Open the act in Contacts & acts.
  2. In Updates from [name], click Email them a link. It goes to the email on file, from your organization, and replies come to your organization's reply-to address.
  3. Or click Copy a link to send it by text or another way.

Only owners and admins can send links. Each link works for 30 days, and sending a new one doesn't turn off the ones you sent before. Turn off links stops all of an act's links right away.

What the act can change

Their name, email, phones and mailing address; act name, one-line description, bio, website and riders; a new headshot; new video links; PayPal, Venmo and Zelle; and their W-9 details (legal name, business name, tax classification, address, taxpayer ID type and last 4 digits), plus a new W-9 file.

Approve the changes

Nothing changes until you approve it. When an act sends updates, GigTools adds a task: "Review profile changes from [name]".

  1. Click Review changes on the task, or the banner on the act's page.
  2. Each change shows what it was and what it is now. Untick anything you don't want.
  3. Click Approve selected to save the ticked changes, or Reject all.

The task closes by itself. If the act sends again before you review, the newer version replaces the older one.
