How to rent your rooms for private events
Offer your rooms for parties, corporate nights and fundraisers: packages with prices, a request page on your website, and requests that turn into gigs with the packages on the bill.
Up to date as of GigTools version 2.1.189
Private events (in the Venue menu) lets people ask about renting your rooms. It's part of the Venue plan.
Rooms
On Rooms, tick Can be rented for private events on each room you offer and add a short line about it for the public page (like "Seats 60 at tables, with its own bar").
Packages
Under Packages, click Add package: a name, the kind (room, food, drink, show, A/V or other), the price (tick Price per guest for per-person prices) and what's included. Untick On the private events page for packages you only add yourself.
Your private events page
Your website gets a Private events page (with a link in its menu) once you offer a room or a package. People pick a date and start time, how many guests, the room, the kind of event and the packages they're interested in. Copy its link from the Private events page in GigTools. Your website needs to be turned on.
Requests
Requests show on Private events and in Inquiries, marked as private events. Turn one into a gig the usual way: the gig gets the room, isn't public, and the packages they asked about go under Money (per-person packages times the guests), so the agreement, deposit and invoice include them.
On the gig, the Private event card shows the room and guests, and Add to the charges adds more packages.
